Are you kidding me with the coverage of this thing? I'm actually laughing out loud listening to Mike and Mike in the morning. They are talking about this thing like it's a murder investigation. WOW slow time in the sports world. Enough already. He had air let out of some balls. 4 game suspension. Move on.
I mean...the 4 games suspension is pretty ridiculous. And Brady is one of, if not, the biggest name in the NFL. It's going to be a big story.
Knowing our legal system, he could probably keep this tied up in court until after he is eligible for the HOF. I think the rule itself is pretty stupid. If some team wants to throw a ball that looks like a banana peel why not let them. they are only impacting their offense. but cheating is cheating.
The media is ridiculous, but he deserves the 4 games. If not more for his part in trying to cover it up. To me, that's why the NFL has dropped the hammer on him.
That's not really true. If you look at the fumble statistics, it's pretty clear that the Patriots had found some type of competitive advantage. Not to mention how much easier it is to catch a soft football.
When the biggest name in the game claims his innocence but then destroys evidence it kinda changes the concept of "he just let some air out of the ball". The cover-up is always worse than the crime.
haha who cares. They clearly are still the best out at the moment. With or without air in the ball. Suspend him, look at the rest of the team. They are solid. The best QB isn't anything without a good team, that's been proven over and over in the NFL, same with the other way around. 1 player missing a few games wont hurt.
Point was, the rule is stupid. If every team could lower the pressure than there is still a level playing field. If the Pats like the ball at 5lbs fine, if the saints like them at 10 fine, Aaron Rodgers likes the ball harder so let him inflate it to where he wants. Either that or quite having team balls and let the NFL provide them all without the teams being able to break them in themselves.
Dumbest thing in football ever.... To the Brady haters, get over it, he'll be back after four games and he's still uber wealthy and the best QB to ever play...to the Brady fans....same thing.
The NFL asks him to surrender his personal cell phone with his personal conversations/pics with his wife, etc? F no I would not surrender my personal cell phone so that someone could use a cell phone dump on it and extract all the info.
I think the whole thing is crazy and Goodell is a joke. No matter what side you are on I don't think there is enough evidence that he did or didn't have anything to do with it. The cell phone looks bad but I don't think anyone here would have handed over their phone either. The problem I have is the punishment. Look at all of the fines over the years for anyone messing with the football, it has never gone over $50,000. Now all of a sudden it is 1 million, draft picks and 4 games for Brady. I don't want to hear he didn't cooperate because some of the fines for the other teams under $50,000 were because they didn't cooperate either. This F N commissioner screwed up so much and so many fans hate him so much he will over punish people to try and regain credibility. If this was a different QB or team this sh*t would have been over long ago.
This picture doesn't even surprise me...the people that have screamed and cried the most that he should get 4 games, a year or even he should never be able to play again all are acting like Brady did the same thing as Hernandez.
