Montec cs G5 vs Magnus black hornet

    Can't decide between using the montec cs G5 this year or the Magnus black hornet. Have shot both and they both seem to be high quality and shoot well. Any thoughts?

    Between those two, magnus. If you like the Montec design. Look at VPA- Vantage point Archery heads

    Been using the Montec G5 for years and I'm not about to change...

    I prefer the SS over the CS, as the CS tends to rust when hunting in wet conditions...

    I have spent the afternoon field testing both of these broad heads,
    I've shot a number of targets including a melon, thick plastic
    Drum full of water and yes a wheel barrel .what I found was
    The Magnus seem to have more Impact energy then the G5
    This broad head was unstoppable . The Magnus gets my vote.

    I want to try the black hornets l. If they shoot good use the black hornet and tell me how the work on a deer.

    i was undecided for a while if i was going to use montecs or go with the black hornets this year. finially decided i was going to go black hornets especially for being lifetime guaranteed. then i ran across wac'em bh and i think im giving them a try this year..

    I have been a Montec shooter for quite awhile...... Black Hornets are in my quiver this year though.

    TB, since you like the Montec. Have you tried the VPA heads? Trial153 told me about them last year. Very good heads.

    Was a first time magnus user last year. So far best bhs ive shot. I still have 3 of the regular 4 blade magnus stingers that are perfectly good but was thinking about trying the black hornets. Is there a big enough difference between the two or are the black hornets like 10 times better and i need to go buy them or should i just save my money and use what i got?

    hey thanks a lot tacklebox, I appreciate you uploading that for me. I will also be using the black hornets this year, can't wait to see what they can do!

    turkeysniper, I have not shot the stingers but all the reviews I have read on them say they are top notch. The reason why I went with the black hornets instead was the blade is shorter/thicker so I feel like it would be a little tougher? but I don't think that you can go wrong either way
