    Not sure if anybody noticed, but Halloween is on a SATURDAY this season! Going to be a pile of bucks hit the ground on the 31st. Halloween is personally my favorite day to hunt and usually take off work, but not this year. I'll be hunting the 31st and 1st on the weekend and saving my vacation time.

    Can't wait. My favorite day by far to hunt. I just hope I'm in town (my son plays AAA hockey and there's a chance we will be on the road). : ( But honestly, if I'm not in the woods, I'd rather be watching him play.

    I agree. Halloween week is the best archery hunting of the year.

    i always shoot my nice bucks in early November. i have not had luck once on halloween or in october. maybe this will be the year since i will be able to be out there all day! good luck guys

    Last season I had a lot of action the week of Halloween. The first time in years I blind grunted a buck in, another one went right to the scent I put out like he was on a string once I got his attention (also with a grunt call), but neither offered a shot. That week around Halloween when they are seeking is always fun, in my part of PA anyway. I plan to spend a few days in Ohio this year that week if my work schedule allows.

    I personally haven't had much luck on Halloween. I've seen bucks years back but to me the best time is the following 2 weeks after Halloween. Usually right around the 7th-10 of November is when things are going full swing for me.

    i'll be with my kids trick or treating. they are only going to be young once and want to be there for them. I will be hunting the morning though!

    Ill be at it from sun up til about 3pm on Halloween, unless the inevitable occurs.....one of my three kids has a sports game or practice (it is gonna happen no doubt). :)
