ok. i see alot of posts that people put where they say 'im on X amount of acres'. does this mean you guys are hunting on private land? that what im assuming.

And lets here it. Do you hunt public or private land.

I hunt public. if you want to call if that. most of it is rough enough that the sane dont venture. its public for people that like to hike... ALOT.

Private as well (thanks to the in-laws). My wife may not have brought a fat bank account to the marriage, but more importantly she brought great hunting property.

Both, I have access to decent private but I've been hunting more and more public each year.

I hunt all private but I had a plan for public land this year that involved using a small boat to access hard to get to spots. But with all the flooding in our area this year, I'm not sure my plan is going to work out.

    Blessings........Pastorjim

I hunt a good balance of both. All the bucks we have killed have come from private but we aren't afraid of public. We have hunted some great bucks on public but never connected. We shoot a lot of does off public.

In PA it is about 80/20 for public vs private. The only time I hunt private land in PA is when I hunt with some friends closer to Pittsburgh.

In Ohio it is 100% private. My friend owns a farm and we have permission on the farm next door too.

I hunt both 1,000 acres of private that 6 of us have leased for over 12 years and also do some public land bow hunting early before gun season. This year I am going to buy a out of state license for Ky and hunt some public land up there. I am fortunate enough to only be about 15 mins from the state line, so I figure I start taking advantage of that and extend my season. Ky opens 21 days before Tn season and it runs 14 days longer than Tn. So I am going to add over a month to my deer season this year....:)
