Speaking with my wife on this beautiful Sunday morning here on Long Islad, and to my suprise she told me come this October she wants to sit on a stand with me!!!! I nearly fell off the chair! Hopefully its the start of something that we can share forever. We`ve been married nearly 21 years and she has never ever even shown a smidgen of interest in bowhunting, and the other day she asked me to take her shooting to the local outdoor archery range. We havent done tgat yet but maybe she is giving me signs!!!! God Bless my friends, wish us luck!!
That is awesome grommel! Hopefully next time I get into a relationship, she will enjoy hunting or want to try! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's great news....I can tell you're pleased. Wife and I shoot together on a regular basis...with a friendly competitive edge. Some days she out shoots me, some days I out shoot her - best thing is, we both win! Bill
Nice!!!!!! If it were my wife she'd be telling me I'm doing it wrong like everything else!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That's great! I can get my wife to do everything but actually hunt. She has gone with me to help me recover animals, goes with me to check cams, and has even helped me load deer and clean up the mess afterward. So I'm not complaining for sure. Good luck to you. Blessings........Pastorjim
Awesome. You know her better than anyone else. But I suggest a no pressure situation, If she wants to bring books, blankets, electronics, let her don't worry about killing anything, just enjoy the time in the woods and slowly progress. And if she wants to start hunting herself start with an uglier animal like hogs so she's not as emotional over the big fluffy doe eyed creature. Just MHO. Good luck
Awesome!!! We close on our new piece of ground in a couple weeks. I hope to be able to get my wife to sit in the stand with me a few times on nice fall days so she can see what it's all about. My goal is to get in in the evening a couple hours before dark so she doesn't how that long to wait for the action to get going. I just hope she doesn't scream to scare the deer away if I pull back on one! lol!
Careful, I did this too and my husband did such a great job bringing me along I hunt everything and anything and he's always buying me new gear LOL! I wish you both the VERY best! There is nothing like preparing for hunting season as a team!
That's cool. When I find a girl that I'm going to be with for the rest of my life she's going to be a hunter for sure and if she's not a bowhunter I"ll try my hardest to convert her since I only bowhunt. Haha
grommel... you are truly blessed! Yes, sometimes one needs some 'alone' time from their spouse... but spending and sharing quality time together will only strengthen your marriage. Have fun and enjoy!!!!
Good luck and have fun! A lot of couples really enjoy sharing their time outdoors. I have been with my wife for 23 years and we enjoy spending time together. But she told me if I ever took her hunting she was going to scream her head off if a deer came in so I could't shoot it in front of her LOL.
My wife did the same thing. After showing no interest whats so ever she decided to go with me on a hunt one day. We didnt make it back to the truck before she wanted her own bow!
