Age my bear. Lol

    Ya, he's pretty big. Soon as season opens I'll try to get em. The size or age doesn't really matter that much. Just wanted to share. Lol

    My guess is 5-6. Just looking at the big stomach and smallish ears.

    I don't know much about aging bears but I always heard that on big boars the ears look really short and round with big muscle mounds on the head. Those ears look pretty long to me. And his legs look pretty long.

    Bears dont have a life spanned like deer they can live 30 40 years i remember in 2011 when I shot my bear which was 31/2 the oldest bear taken that year in nys was 29 years old... who would have know

    I assumed you were referring to age. So I googled it. The average life span is 10 but they can live up to 30 years. A 28 year old bear would be much later.

    Yea I figure that hunters dont let them live past 10 lol so if u get an old bear must be real deep in the mountains

    I think 28 would be a really old bear. And I just don't see it for this bear.

    Ok so ill second guess 8.... but I know I gotta find the sheet nys sent me with my bear patch it showed all the harvests from that year and the oldest bear taken was 28 or 29 female...
