I think it's a competition mount, and it's doing its job of getting your attention and keeping it in the front of the judges minds. The work looks great, but not a display I'd imagine would be desired for anyone's home.
I saw this last week and thought about posting on here for everyone's opinion but never got around to it. I think they taxidermist did a great job in regards to what he was asked and how nature really is but I sure wouldn't want this mount.
I couldn't have a mount like that in my house, it would make me sick every time I walked by it. Just think how you feel when you walk up on a deer and you see that a coyote already got to it. It's awesome for a competition piece. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk
It would be great for a store setting. Not something for a home. Its more of a showcase of "look what I can do" than a look at my trophy.
I'd put it in my bedroom, that way every time I started to sleep in rather than getting my sorry *$$ out of bed and going yote hunting...I'd have a reminder why I should get after it.
When I show my mounts to people I want it to show respect and peek their interest about the sport. I don't think this would do that. I can appreciate the mount and understand that it was done for a given scenario like a contest but not every body will agree with that.
Not in my house....but I think it's cool. Cabelas has lots of mounts like that. It's the hard side of nature, but it is a stirring piece.
Definitely a very unique mount. Belongs in a store like Cabelas or Bass Pro. Definitely wouldnt put it in my house.
Great idea lol! That would probably work for me. I just don't think I could put that in my house though.
I like the mounts when the animal is still intact and something like a bear or wolf is there. I'd put something in my house like that. Not something that looks half gutted.
