I just started bow hunting regularly last year. I started late in the season and I have been blessed with hunting ground since I was young. I am curious how everyone deals with insects such as mosquitoes in the early season. I have a Thermocell and I was curious if anyone has noticed if it has had an impact on the deer movement once lit and going?

Welcome to the site! No your Thermocell won't affect them at all. I always have one if not two with me and they are awesome! Never go into the woods without one!

    Welcome to the site!

I personally don't use thermocells, but I know a ton of guys who swear by them.

Fitz doesn't use them because it's snowing when hunting season starts there! I used my Thermocell in Alabama all the time, had a doe and two fawn walked past the stand three times while it was going, and no mosquitos!

Welcome. I just wear a face mask and put my hands in my pockets. They can swarm if they want.

Welcome to the site! I won't hunt in early season without it here in NC. Skeeters are brutal! I have never had an issue with deer being spooked by Thermacell.

    Welcome to the forum!

We don't have mosquitoes during deer season here. It's generally mid-day when we hunt rabbits or woodchucks and not in the deep woods, so no problem there either.
