I've got one borderline buck. We usually don't have our cameras out this early so I don't really know what to expect.
Been working 90-100 hours per week so haven't had time to even place a cam yet. These cool mornings sure have me in the mood to go sit in a tree tho!
Decided not to put out cams this year on my property to limit impact, and to make things more exciting when i see a buck on the hoof. hoping it doesn't back fire on me!!!!
I got cameras out a few weeks ago and going to go check them this week, expecting alot of big velvet this year.
I don't get too excited about a big one being on camera or too disappointed if nothing is on cam this early. It seems to change about 4 times yet before the season gets here anyway. Its fun to keep tabs on them but I don't get too worked up one way or the other. At least that is how it works at my place.
ya my uncle just put his out, there was a good ten last and i got a shot at it but for some reason i missed. im hoping to get some good ones this year too
I'm only running 2 cams at the moment, but not much to speak of on my pull from this weekend. I'm not real sure what the deal is, but I think we are really seeing the impacts of EHD from 2 and 3 years ago right now. I home I'm wrong and they just aren't summering on my place, but I can certainly say the quality of deer on my place this year(and last) is nothing compared to what I had 2 and 3 years ago. I had multiple 140+ bucks running around and a bunch of 120's and 130's. Nothing even close last year, and so far nothing much this year.
Same here. I have seen 2 good ones in my area this summer but neither is hitting my mineral site?? Tons of doe picks.
got all my bucks back this year they all made it through. but this one is catching my attention. . this one looks promising as well. these are gameland bucks
Putting cameras out this weekend. But, caught a little buck on my regular camera behind my pond a couple weeks ago. I don't get excited, they only pass through at this time - nothing seems to stay.
