Ok so I'm looking into getting a G20 here pretty soon, but I was also comparing it to the G30. The G20 has a 10x zoom where the G30 has 20x zoom. Is 10x enough to get good footage? The g20 is also 250$ cheaper. Is the G30 a huge step up? Canon has a sale going on right now: G20-575$ refurbished and G30-830$ refurbished. Which direction should I go? Keep in mind if the 10x zoom will still produce good footage that's gets close enough to what I'm filming at, I would love to save the extra money, but if it's gonna cost me later I'll spend the extra money.

    Thanks

I couldn't swing the extra money for the 30 right now and I wanted to go ahead and start piecing everything together. The resale on these cameras are really good so i may upgrade at a later date.

The 30 also has a slightly better sensor but they both have the same lux rating of 1.2 (low light)

Either one I think you will be fine. If you hunt wide open areas, then the 20X Zoom on the G20 would be a great feature. If you don't hunt wide open areas a lot, go with the G20.
