I don't think he is dead... How do you kill the best actor in the second ep. Did you notice the crows head on the shooter that was in the car with the dead guy in 1st ep. Who tipped the shooter off ?
I'm quickly losing interest in this series. The first 3/4 of season 1 was great but I think the writing took a dive and the ending of season 1 was poorly done in my opinion. Season 2 so far could be interesting but it's like they're trying to hard to make it weird (what's the point of the crow nonsense). Just make a normal murder mystery. True Detective does a great job of character development and has a good backbone of a story but they lack the meat around the bone to tell the story. I'll try and finish season 2 but if it ends similar to season 1 then I'll probably stop watching.
I'm all for twists but pretty sure he's dead. No way he's surviving two close range blasts from a shotgun.
I'm watching! Surprised he got shot. I don't see how he survives, I'll be pretty disappointed if he does. It was pretty slow up until that point. Still finding it hard to take Vince Vaughn serious Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I love this series (although I'll be disappointed if they used Colin Ferell's name and fame to hype up this season and then kill him off just when the plot is opening up). Will be tough to top last season though.
I haven't watched the second episode of this season yet but I hear somebody gets shot lol. Jury is still out on the first episode. I loved the first season and have been hesitant about this season ever since they announced the cast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Is this first season on Netflix? I thought I remembered seeing it but cannot seem to find it. Maybe it was Amazon Prime or something else?
So you guys really like how season 1 ended? I really liked the first 3/4 of the season but I thought the ending was lackluster considering it was some inbred hillbilly in the woods. It just seemed incomplete to me.
We get are HBO online (HBO Go )some might check out (HBO Now )online cut out the cable/sat bundle bs that has more commercials then old worn out programming. But the show comes on 1 hr ahead of the cable market as a thank you for buying direct. Didn't want to spoil the he is alive.....told ya so. This season is just so so for me,I liked last season show
This season has been bad so far. The only character I care about is Farrell. I hate McAdams face and Kitsch character is utterly pointless. I like Vince Vaughn, but I just can't buy him as a gangster. Some of the dialogue this season has been cringeworthy. We are missing the chemistry between MM and Harrelson from last season. They worked so well together. Hopefully this season picks up soon or I'm going to struggle to finish it. The Brink has been a pleasant surprise and is the best Sunday night show so far on HBO.
I think this season has been good so far. Anyone NOT expecting a let down after last season was in denial, that was 8 of the best episodes of TV ever filmed... No way that could have been topped. I'm intrigued enough to finish this season out. I do find the timing of the SC ruling and the bombardment of the rainbow parade on social media ironic to align with Kitsch's character internalizing his self hate for being gay. I haven't seen the Brink yet but not sure I want to start any other series until this one is over. 2-3 shows a week is all I can take of TV.
Just watched episode 3, it's picking up steam. I'm not sure what to make of the Channing Tatum look-alike cop dude, I have no idea what his part in the show is. Harrelson and McConaughey were a nice duo but as long as they don't ruin the ending again it should be interesting to see how the pieces fit together.
Episode 4 was decent... But this series is painful to watch, some of the worst acting and directing, Vince Vaughn is so horribly bad at anything other than comedy... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The characters in this new True Detective are very complicated and at the same time morally ambiguous IMO. Despite Woodrows blackout drinking and pain from his combat experiences, not to mention his schizophrenic sexuality, he was the only one who knew exactly what to do when the fire fight broke out at the end of episode 4. Both Antigone and Ray thought for sure they were going to die, and were shaking like ****ting dogs.
