Me and my work buddy were talking about are bow set ups.were both pretty new at bowhunting.Hes shoting a mission riot at 70# 28in draw , and shooting a 28 or 281/2 inch vap 6 400 spine arrow.he was surprised when I told him im shooting a 340 spine cut to 29 inches at 65# with 27 draw.He want new arrows but hes not sure what to get in spine.easton arrow chart says a 340 or 330 spine.is he underspined with his set up?
@ 70 28.5....he might even be better off with a 300 spine depending on the amount of weight he is using up front.
What insert does he have? There's a few the standard one weighs 30 some grains and theres a 50gr, 92gr, and a 120gr.
Not sure. From what he told me he went to a shop. Shop set him up.all the guy had were these arrows in a 400 spine , and the tech said ya these will work.my buddy wants to buy more arrows but not sure if he wants the same arrows hes been shooting.i said to him befor he buys confirm hes at 70#.even thow he says he is.
He's underspined, go with a .340 or .300 spine next go around...Most normal aluminum inserts weigh in the 11-14gr range on average so with a 100gr head a .340 spine should tune fine out of that bow. Regardless of what some "tech" told him, a .400 is to soft for 70lbs.
