I just hung my alpha 2 stand for the first time. Also my first time in a tree stand. When I got it hung I will say it was hard for me to put faith in the straps but just a little time helped that. Also I noticed that not matter how much I tighten the top strap the bracket against the tree comes off about a half inch. But all in all its a great stand and I look forward to using it.

Another small issue was that the majority of trees in my spot are bigger than the straps allow so i solved that by going up a skinnier tree.

Very lightweight and very quiet. I will not be using the bow holder that is built in as I have to rest my cam on it to use properly.

After all this I will more than likely get a HSS harness.

Next time tighten the top strap, then pivot the platform up and re-tighten the top strap. Then pivot the platform back down and tighten down the top strap. That should help you get the top cleat to bite better.

I figure when I go back out to check the pics I'll climb up and reinstall it

Please do! Always, always use a harness.

Yup. With the ofset bracket (batwing) installed, the LW is the only stand I've ever used that I've have to back off the straps because I got it too tight.

This! I learned this the hard way. Fortunately, I'm lucky enough to be able to be alive.

So I reinstalled following the video, instructions and all the advice and it did go a lot tighter however when standing on it there is about 1/4 inch gap from the top clear to the tree. Might also be because I'm 230 but I'm okay with that gap. It definitely isn't coming down. Also ordered my HSS harness so that will help a lot more IMO than the one that comes with it in terms of comfort.
