I spilled a pint of fox urine on all of my brand new sitka gear. How do I get this smell out? I have washed all of it twice and sprayed every scent killer I own on it, put scent killer dryer sheets in all the pockets, put baking soda on all of it to. Its been on the clothes line sense about noon and the smell I swear has gotten worse. Is there anything I can do? Or is this a $1,500 dollar screw up?

Dry cleaner would be my guess than just take it home and scent free wash it.

    A pint?! Whoa...that sucks.

There's a mixture to mix up to take skunk smell off dogs, I'd try that. Mix it up and wash them in it. It uses 1 qt. (two standard bottles, available at any drug store) of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide; 1/2 to 1 cup of baking soda; and 1 or 2 tsp. of dishwashing detergent or mild shampoo. I've used it for years on my dogs when they get sprayed and it works fantastic.

I don't know if peroxide will effect color in fabric or not but I wouldn't think so. I'd wash them until it came out before I gave up on $2K worth of cloths.

Well... At least the deer won't smell you.... It could be worse, I'd take a pint of fox urine over a pint of diesel. I am not sure anyone one thing is going to work. Probably take lots of time and multiple methods.

Let them hang outside and get rained on for a week. I'm not sure what else to do besides keep washing it and hope it goes away.

Oh I have an idea. Get some carbon powder and dust all of your clothes in it.

I forgot I started adding white vinegar to this mixture too. I usually add about a cup, it reacts with baking soda so take care and be prepared for a lot foam action. It neutralizes ammonia in urine.

We use it for trapping and putting it in chipmunk and woodchuck that dig under our shop. Im lucky it wasn't the gallon of coyote urine that i thought about grabbing.

I called a very close friend that owns a bunch of land right down the road from our chunk up north and he said he just bought a scent crusher deluxe ozone steel closet he said i could use. Im debating if i should dive up and get my ozonics and my scent master from our cabin after work. But man 3hours one way doesn't sound fun but there is a lot of work i could do if I can have off friday. But the heat from the scent master I fear will make it worse.
