Got out in the yard an was able to get my backup bow tuned out to 30 an anything inside of that. Its dead on at 20 imo its the older Martin Maverick 3D I picked up a week ago an for a older rig I think it handles well ATA is a lil long but nothin major I've got a single pin sight on it dont know what brand it is but has a big dile on it almost like an hha but a different breed altogether. Right now it has a whisker biscuit but I never really used them much im more of a drop away type myself but all in all I would say that this rig will get the job done in a pinch an is a testament to all the hype about the newer rigs. I almost look at the newer bows as a luxury to shoot an own and the older models make you have a different respect for them when you have one tuned right. Not as forgiving imo, but accurate as any with proper form an technique. Heres a pic of the best group at 20 yds. I will be practicing until the moment of truth comes when a shooter buck walks into a good spot broadside. Hitting my mark constantly is just as rewarding as a well placed arrow in the pump station, and I can't wait to get back into my stand come October.
Thanks Sam im gonna work out with this bow through the summer then get into a newer rig I sold my bear legion it was nothing but a headache
Nice shots. I make it a point that I shoot at least 30 shots a week all year long (Tuesday's most weeks) even in the snow. I love shooting my bow. It's relaxing and a stress re-leaver. Keep it up...
Nice shooting! I can't wait to finish this course I'm in and get back to Texas and get my bow out to the range again, haven't been able to shoot since November
