I got the Refurbished Canon HF-G30 that I ordered from Canon on Thursday of last week. For those that are wondering what you get with the refurbed camera, I videoed the unboxing if you want to take a look at it. I also put my G20 side by side with the G30 so you can see the difference in size.
Ha! My charity budget has been depleted this year. I told someone on here I'd sell it to him but if he doesn't buy it, I may keep it too. I don't know yet.
Thanks for the review. Have the G20 and been thinking about upgrading to g30 because of zoom but on the fence if I really need it since we hunt thick hardwoods most the time.
Thanks for the video. Once I'm done building my new house a new camera will be on the list, and the G30 is at the top.
It's going to depend 100% on funding for me, as far as what camera I get. I'm chomping at the bit to get one though!
Cant believe how much the prices increased in a matter of weeks. Guys were picking the refurb G30 up for $790-850 no to long ago from Canon. Now the refurb is $1020!
Contacted Canon and they said they ran a promotional offer for a week or two for Fathers day and that's why the price was lower when everyone bought them. Looks like $1040 is here to stay until the next promotion. I did manage to find one around the promotional price on Amazon that's a refurb.
