like i said you have to try it in the field before you start saying it dont work. I myself have used everything out on the market from scent sprays to lures etc. anyways ive used nose jammer before. its doesnt work for me. i had a young buck walking towards my wind and ran off. i know one good product that works conquest scent evercalm. deer will think that your a bedded deer. ive harvested a nice respectable rack 97 3/8btr 8 point using evercalm and had other encounters of deer walking to your wind.
I actually had pretty good luck with it. I sprayed my pack and stand with it so it smelled like nilla wafers instead of stale sweat. I did have deer downwind of me obviously notice it but not act alarmed. It certainly is a more pleasant cover scent than doe estrus or fox pee. Lol
I sprayed Dustin with it while he was taking a poop and it covered that stink, so it's JZ approved. As for hunting situations I've had a few people tell me they swear by it. I've used it a few times and aside from the fresh vanilla aroma to enjoy in my stand I didn't notice a difference either good or bad.
There is a certain market within the hunting industry where you can make money off of products because you can not prove it works or does not work.
Lol, thanks for the help folks! I think I'm gonna stick with EverCalm and hunt the wind...... Unless like JZ said, someone drops trowel and we need to cover the stank
Only way to beat a deer's nose is to hunt the wind. I realize that deer are curious and sometimes investigate smells like this but I prefer to not leave any scent, mine or otherwise. I feel that it is best to be as minimally invasive as possible.
Used it one time and had a doe cross my path into the stand, she was more nervous than a long tail cat in a room full of rocking chairs, I'll promise you. The only positive thing is, is that I got it for free.
