I bought some new gear this year and decided to make a "mock" treestand setup this weekend. I wanted to practice as if I were going out on a hunt to see how long it would take to get all my gear up in the tree and the quirks worked out. Here's what I'm running... Canon HF G30, Canon T3i, rode shotgun mic, varizoom stealth, homemade dual camera mount, manfrotto fluid head, and muddy pro camera arm.
I have a canon hf r30 with Azden shotgun mic. It's sitting on a muddy pro camera arm and a manfotto mvh500ah fluid head. It's a little bit of an over kill for my camera but I plan upgrade it eventually so I won't have to re buy the arm or fluid head. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I like having my t3i zoomed out wide so I will always get my shot on film. That way I can focus on getting in nice and tight with my g30. Also use the t3i for b-roll and in low light situations.
Since, have added a varazoom controller . I use 3 camera arms in my hottest 3 stands at the time so I don't have to pack everything every trip. Cannon XA10 AT shotgun mic with windscreen AT pro88 wireless mics, manfroto fluid head. Cam arms are home made!
Those homeade arm's look awesome. I tried making my own and it worked great for my smaller camera but had too much bounce since I switched to a dual camera setup. Bought the Muddy Pro and have been pleased thus far
I'm 100% new to filming and self filming this year - haven't been behind the camera or computer for anything in about a decade. Hoping to have some serious fun with this set up this fall filming myself and serious bow hunting buddies Canon G30 Manfrotto 700RC2 head Muddy Boss Hawg arm Stealth VeriZoom Rode VideoMic I spent quite some time looking into what pack to use to tote everything into the field, but decided I'm gonna give my Sitka ToolBucket a shot. If anyone has any other suggestions I'd be grateful. The ToolBucket should work well for when I'm bringing my Millenium m100 stand in, but I'd like a lumbar pack that's wide enough to lash my arm to the top of for what I'm packing in my climber also. Been looking at the Blacks Creek Cure pack and the Badlands Monster. Thanks!
I use a keyes tree locker then lash the tree locker to my lone wolf climber. all my gear with stand weighs 51 lbs.
Ok thank you. I think my arm is about 3 inches longer but it should fit in that side compartment. The inside looks real tight, I'm into it. Thank you!
