Just wondering if it has happened to others? I will admit that I did 3 or 4 years ago, I bought a pack of Rage extremes and used them took a buck. Later realized that broad heads of 2" are not legal to use for hunting in Minnesota. I confessed to a CO over lunch about my violation, he replied that he has never checked a hunter's broad heads. He said as long as it doesn't happen again he would let it slide.

I've accidentally left my license/tag in the truck a few times over the years. Law says you have to have it on your person while in the field. Now I've taken to keeping it in my pack which I never go hunting without.

I've seen guys accidently shoot hen pheasants before. Another time I saw a youth hunter shoot a jake and a hen in one shot. They were honest accidents but sometimes it happens.

I hunted opening day of goose season without my duck stamp. Left it in the gun cabinet at home. I felt terrible, husband yelled at me...I said I wouldn't shoot anything. Sat there, didn't shoot anything (both because of guilt and I missed).

I'll openly admit I don't keep my stupid backtag on my back on private land and instead put it on my backpack.

I shot a robin while grouse hunting once on accident. It really looked like a grouse when I took off in dense cover.

That is about all I can think of.

I have a buddy who years ago drew a sheep tag. He hit it, and went to put another round in it, but shot the wrong one. He ended up with two dead sheep. He reported it right away, and didn't get in trouble.

Forgetting my license/tag at home is about it for me.

I often forget or fail to wear the fully required amount of blaze orange while bow hunting - however I only hunt on my property. Especially for that stupid early muzzle loader season in October which was yanked from the season this year (WOO HOO).

Honestly not that I know of. I know people who have. PA is notorious for cracking down on accidents even, so I am pretty careful not break any laws.

Once we shot 1 over our limit of geese, had one slot left and 2 of us took geese in a toll.

Otherwise only thing would be during muzzleloader season taking my blaze orange off when I get into the tree and hanging it on my bow hanger.

The Wisconsin back tag is in my pack when on private land, that thing is so stupid a big *** licence plate on your back making all kind of noise. I may have stayed in the woods too long on those moonlit nights with snow on the ground. That's it.

Glad someone else does this too. Stupid back tag rubbing against the tree like you said making a bunch of noise. Ugh….. Serving no useful purpose. I’ll pay the stupid the ticket if I need to

Hunted Elk in Colorado and didn't know about the "no electronic" allowed on archery equipment. I had lighted nocks, lighted site, a Looxcie camera and a camcorder all on my bow. Didn't learn about the law till I was reading up on it months later.
And I may have shot a hen during Turkey season when I first started out hunting.

I got busted once for hunting phesants without a license. I fully intended to buy one when we got to town later in the morning but got caught first. That's what I get for not getting the permit before the season started.

There are so many laws in this country that we are all criminals. I have left my license in the jeep a couple of times, but other than that nothing I can think of.

I picked up a buck skull with the antlers still attached when I was out hiking once. At the time I didn't know I needed a tag I just thought it was like finding sheds.
