Hi guys. I live in South Africa and I was wondering if the NAP Killzones are suitable for big game in Africa?

Depends on your setup and the animal. Smaller antelope and wart hogs you may be fine if you have the kinetic energy. The Killzone will kill and has killed several big game animals in Africa but that does not mean its the best choice. If it were me I would use the Hellrazor or another quality cut on contact head. If really big big game two blade cut on contact. That is what I would be comfortable with.

Since the Killzone deliver poor penetration on even whitetails,I would not use them. If you want to go with an Expandable I would suggest the Swhacker Broadheads. If you want to use a Fixed Blade Broadhead, I would go with the Ramcats. I hope this helps.

If anyone is mad at me about the statement about the Killzone's Penetration, I want to tell you I ten-ringed a 94lb doe (just like Tyler Rector hit Machete) and only got 6" of penetration with a Mathews Chill R set at 70lbs and 30" using a 505 grain Easton FMJ arrow. I usually get full pass-throughs with that setup using the 125 Grain Swhacker which has a 2.25" cut. And to be honest, the Killzone is one of the best all-around mechanical broad heads, but out of 5 deer I shot with the Killzones, I had one pass-through.

Okay great, thanks for the advice. I think I will just stick with fixed blades.

I was interested in how to killzones would perform. To me, pass throughs are important. It can be the difference between finding a deer or not. Good to know! I like to shoot Magnus Stinger 100 gr.

For that kind of game....a fixed blade is what I'd use. I love my VPA 3 bladez
