There is a couple of open spots for the second shotgun season in Iowa 2016 zone 4 with me and a couple of my friends. If anyone is interested you can ask any questions you like but there is not a lot of time to decide. You need to get a preference point this year which is due by June 6th to be able to get a license next year. The cost is just under $3,000 for the 6 day hunt and it includes the hunt, food and lodging. 1 of the guys had a baby and said he just doesn't think he can go and Pat will be moving to Iowa soon and already has a spot to hunt with one of his buddies is why the spots opened up.
We have been there twice with a total of 6 hunts and have gone 5 for 6. The only reason we did not go 6 for 6 is a problem with a firing pin on a 160" buck. They have a bunch of box blinds and really nice equipment. When they asked me what I would change if I ran it I told them the price. They could easily charge $5,000 for this hunt but they are not in this just to make money. Here are the bucks we shot and I will post up some trail camera pics later today.
Sorry Matt. I knew the spots would go fast just didn't think they would go in less than 12 hours. If you are still looking to hunt Iowa I can help get you a spot for a different season.
