I'm 2 for 2 as far as turkey and seasons go. Kill my first turkey last year and killed my second one this year. Last year I had my dad deep fry a turkey. It was okay...a little tough, which I think came from over cooking it. So this year I did a little of my own research and found a recipe (on youtube actually) that looked good enough to try. I'll provide the link below. It's called "Grilled Cajun Bacon turkey" (yes there's lots of bacon involved) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MPG4pB4Cso Now as for me, I can be pretty picky when it comes to rating food. Something really has to blow me away to refer it to someone else. But I can honestly give this recipe an A! As far as following what he did exactly, I did not. I used some Greek Seasoning (it's gluten free for my wife) and then I added her season salt to it, as well as some spring onions. Next time, I think i'll add goats cheese instead of cream cheese and 2 more jalapenos , give it a dash more of flavor. Here's some pictures...
If yall tried any recipes that were hit or miss then post them. It could help cross some away before others waste perfectly good meat. I still have a half of turkey breast in my freezer so I'll be adding onto this thread a little later and rate another recipe. Good luck all!
