Had my interview yesterday. I think it went really well. It was in front of three. They were quite interested in my current work experience, but also my council and fire department training. I think they like the thought of commitment. They'll have an answer by June 8th. I am hoping to hear sooner. I was nervous all week for the interview, now I'll be playing the waiting game! I am not good at this! Just hoping my best is what they were looking for!
The waiting is worse than being nervous and anxious before the interview in my opinion. Hope it works out for you. Good luck!

Tick, tock, tic.....k, t.........o.........c..............k LOL Today is a week since I've interviewed. However, with the holiday and graduation they are probably quite busy. I'll wait until next Thursday before calling. I did find another job that sounds quite interesting (secretary for township) - they wanted municipal government experience, which I have from being on borough council. So I sent my resume to that. Glad that I am at least finding things that sound hopeful.
My wife left a job in the insurance world and got a job pretty close to what you are looking to get, she worked as a substitute in the district before she got the job she wanted. Good luck you will look forward to those months off.
Two is better then none! Hopefully I'll hear from either or! I cannot wait to get away from insurance! I'd love those few months off - it'd be perfect!
