Covert MP-E5 is a very good camera. Great battery life too. If you buy one you will not be disappointed.

I haven't ran the A5 but have 2 MPE5's... EXCELLENT camera for the price. The night time pics could be a bit better, but the daytime pics are generally great.

I'm running 8 mpe5 and I love them. Pics are great and battery life is crazy long. Ran same set of batteries for a whole season then 2 months the next summer and it never went dead I just finally changed them to be safe.

Depends on what you are going to use it for. The daytime pictures are great but really disappointed in the night time pictures.

I have both and for the price both get the job done...I would have to say I like the MPE5 over my A5 though.

A5's are crap. When I first got into trail cams a few years ago, I went to Walmart and bought two...returned both within a week due to black pictures. Switched to the Primos Truthcam 35 and it was better but not good enough. Went to Covert and never looked back. MPE 5's are great and well worth it - not only in quality, but trigger speed, battery life and customer service.
