No, not on the crane. It was on a tripod. I fished my whole cameras setup from the bottom of the lake. Doesn't look good.

Assuming the equipment wasn't water proof or resistant, but recoverable. Big ol bag of rice may help.

    It's in there now.

    Yup.

Canon said to give it few few days in the rice. If it doesn't work they said to call back. We'll see I guess.

Fu............k:( That hurt just watching it. Good luck with the rice. Maybe the camera store or cannon will cut you a break on a new one and they can use some of the parts?.

On the bright side......... Nope, sorry. I can't think of one. That sucks. Hopefully the rice trick will work.

In the canoe I can put it on the seat, no need for the tripod. In the boat... well that was a different story....

Ouch. How did you pull the video? Was the SD card unaffected?

Yeah, the SD card was fine. They are fairly resilient. I wasn't sure if that file would be corrupted or not since the camera died mid shot, but it was ok.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around the idea that I'm going to need to buy another DSLR. I guess I can hold out a little hope until I try to turn it on sometime Monday. I'm just not that optimistic about it.
