So I know we do this every year lol, but what's everyone using for this upcoming deer season or thinking about giving a shot? I think I'm going to try ramcats or QAD exodus, I hear hood things about them and wanna go fixed this year
Well since Rage quit making the titaniums I am going to use 125 grain hypodermics this year. Arrow weight will be 475 grains.
I used Muzzy heads for over 10 years. A couple seasons ago I decided to try the Exodus and doubt I will ever go back unless QAD quits making them.
On deer I am going to use the Rage Hypodermic. For elk I will use the Strickland Helix or maybe a 3 blade VPA.
Solid Broadheads, 100gr Legends both .5" & .75" Bleeders...Just ordered some 125gr Legends as well with .5" Bleeders, can't wait to see how they fly!
I keep wanting to go single bevel strong heads......but Slick Trick Magnums will grace my arrows for yet another season most likely. New strings and arrows will change before heads.
I think I still have several Rage left, so most likely I'll still be shooting them. I have a package of Killzone's also, so I may give them a shot.
It has to be the 100g Rage 2 blades for me. Every deer I've ever shot with them only ran 40 yrds or less and the blood trails were like following someone painting the leaves and ground with a paint brush.
Same here.. sticking to my Muzzys that have been working for me for a few years now. I am debating trying Toxic broadheads as my buddy did last year and said the blood trai,l on both deer he took with them, looked like a crime scene. I'm just concerned about the radical design with regards as to how well they fly.
