hey all I'm brand new into the hobby.
Had a couple of my GFs family members get bows earlier this year and watching them shoot made me want to try it as well.

I got a PSE Pulse and already started to replace items that were not up to par.
The sight and stabilizer went into the closet after 1 day of shooting.

Next up a mechanical release not sure which yet.. leaning towards the PSE QAD Ultrarest, or the RipCord ACE.

Looking to join some local clubs and do some shooting and maybe some hunting.

Welcome to the forum Jason. For the rest I would go with the rip cord ace.

Thanks guys appreciate the welcomes. With the PSE bow will the ACE fit well? I know the PSE bows seem to be harder to get a rest to line up properly. QAD made an HDX that fits it properly. I really like how the ACE looks though. No shops locally carry it though. Most all seem to like the QAD better.

    Well,
I found out the hard way that mid range bows just dont feel the same as a high end bow.
I sold my 1 week old PSE Surge went to the local high end shop and walked out with a Hoyt Nitrum 30.
Let me be the first to say wow.. not even in the same league. no vibration, no recoil, a useful comfortable grip, and just amazing.
I tried several today ( Mathews No Cam, Chill R, and another Hoyt) but the Nitrum just fit me perfectly.

So here I am.. a 1 week Turncoat. Should have listened to people I was convinced a 400 dollar bow would shoot as well as anything.. well. I ate my crow.. there is a reason for this market. 20150515_174039.jpg 20150515_190712.jpg
