I have been getting away with using some cheap arrows from sportsmans guide ($50 for 12) but now im looking to invest into some better arrows. What is everyone using these days that fly great and wont break the bank? Looking for something moderate in weight, and that will hold up well.

Depends on what your "bank" is. Lots of good arrows out, a price range will help narrow your choices a little.

$100-115 for a dozen would be my preferred price range

Is that for the "bare" uncut arrow?

Easton Full Metal Jacket! The hit hard, they are durable and they fly really well!

You won't be disappointed! I still have 10 of the original 12 I bought over 3 years ago.

Easton FMJ!! $9 a pop at my pro shop, I think they are like $70 for a half dozen box in a big box store though.

I got a dozen beman ics patriot hunter arrows cut with inserts and nocks installed, also fletched red white and blue for under a hundred at eders.com. beman arrows are tough and fly true very good arrows. If you want some options go check out eders.com and check out the custom arrow section, good selection of arrows and you won't be disappointed.....

Gold tips are great for the money. They are inexpensive to buy and put together yourself.

I shoot Gold Tip Velocity arrows. Super tough and fly well. I can't seem to break any to justify buying new arrows. My girlfriend and a good buddy of mine both shoot Easton Axis and those are really nice as well. If I was buying arrows now I would switch over to a small diameter, slightly heavy arrow (so easton Axis or Gold Tip Kinetics)..

Easton axis is a popular choice for bowhunters. I'm going with Gold Tip's velocity xt this year.

I switched over to Carbon Express Maxima red streaks almost 2 years ago, since they discontinued their Mach 5 line. Haven't had a single complaint with them. I lost 3 of them so far.. 1 was a complete lack of concentration on my part and I touched off the trigger while drawing and I launched it into the woods and 2 because of a "Robin Hood". The rest of them have been shooting straight and great for almost 2 years now.

I have heard nothing but good things about Gold Tip and my buddy shoots Easton Light Speeds for several years and won't switch.
