I have about a dozen beman ics patriot hunter arrows that are 400 spine, now I don't know if what I seen is right but read that these arrows at 400 spine can handle 70lb draw weight but just doesn't seem right. I wanna go up to 70lbs but wanna figure this out so I can either keep these or sell what I got and get 340s.
Can you go on the Beman website? There's a "Shaft Selector" page which should answer your question. I would've looked for you but I don't know your draw length.
No I wouldn't not use them at 70. A 400 spine is not rated for 70lbs especially if you plan on adding any tip weight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
From Berman spine chart it says you can depending on how long you cut them, it says you can if they cut at 27inches long but it cutting it close for sure
Like almighty nut said if your arrows are longer than 27" then you should go with the 340s. You could probably get by but if close its usually better to go on the stiff side. Good luck.
I shoot 400 spine Carbon Express hunters with my 70lb Hoyt Charger, but my arrow length is 26." It is a combination of arrow spine and arrow length.
My dl is 28.5. I was reading the charts and it referred to the time of cam to figure out the spine for the arrow length, but thanks for the info so far
