Good Evening My Fellow Hunters! The Question for you today is: What cell service do you have!? And where do you live? I plan to hunt in Colorado, Canada, Missouri, Utah, California, Oregon, Washington State, Carolinas, and lastly Texas. Any advice on what type of phone you have will help as well. Planning on upgrading, Sprint has done well but my contract is up and time to upgrade!!!
Verizon is hands down the best cell service in the Southeast. Why? They own over 95% of the cell towers here or they did at one time.
Verison...Washington State... best coverage.... Used to drive long haul truck before I retired... 90% of long haul drivers use Verison... why... best coverage nation wide...
I use AT&T but it really sucks. I always lose signal when hunting in northwest illinois. Version is 1000 times better. I hope to switch soon.
I am making the switch next month to Verizon on both phones. I have a phone I use for work (T mobile ) and one for me on Verizon. I am done with the contract in about 2 weeks. Verizon all the way then.
I also live in NC with Varizon and haven't gone many places with out at least being able to send a text. Most of the time is buildings on campus but that's understandable
If you hunt in the West take Verizon... Anything else, will leave you speechless. However US cellular does utilize everyone else's towers including Verizon, ATT, etc., but if you don't spend 6 months out of the year in their home area... you get dropped.

AT&T since the late 90's. I have only ever been one place where I could not get service regardless of where I went; Curly Hollow Power Plant in VA. We have discussed switching to Verizon though, mainly because of what everybody here has said. They seem to have better coverage throughout the country. I plan to do some hunts out west in the next couple of years and possibly the south east so that is definitely a concern.
I use at&t and I usually have better signal than my friends who have verizon. I also have a satellite phone for all the places out here where no cell phone will pick up a signal.
I have AT&T. My dad and hunting buddies all have verizon. In Oklahoma my phone works fine, in Colorado it's terrible. Once I leave Denver headed up the hills I have no service until I get back. More often than not I have to borrow their phone's to call home. Verizon's coverage is 100x's better from what I've seen.
