I shot mine with the NAP killzone maxx at 40 yards and it left a hole the size of a baseball.

I purchased the tom bomb extremes but can't use them since they don't fit in the quiver. Any solutions?

I use Gobbler Getters. I like the idea of the head chopper style, but I don't want to switch to longer arrows or special quiver inserts just to use them.

I bought some tom bombs for my son and I and have had terrible results. First I saw an arrow divert 30 degrees in mid air...would have swore it hit a stick but there were no trees, shrubs or anything. Second we hit a bird at 30 yards...didnt have a head shot...it hit the wing and I swear it bounced off the bird.. if you are not making head shots with them they are not good...not sure what to do about the flight of the arrow since it is tough to practice with them

The tom bomb shouldn't be being used at 30 yards, IMO no guillotine style head should be used over 20 yards. The Tom Bomb is super effective under 20 yards, I would use a toxic for anything over 20 yards.

I'm with you on this. Longer arrows was the sticking point for me.

I think the key for turkeys is as large of an expandable head as you feel comfortable with shooting. Penetration generally isn't an issue and with a smaller than average kill zone the extra cutting area really helps. I shot my bird with a Spitfire Maxx (1 3/4" cutting diameter) and it left a heck of a hole and made for a quick recovery.

Here's a snapshot from the video footage. This is the exit hole right before he face planted into the field. :D

    Sweet snapshot!

I used a Rage Extreme on my bird and it did a phenomenal job nearly cutting the impact wing off and on exit nearly taking off the offside leg at the thigh/drumstick. It did break a blade 3/4 of the way up, but did the job. I'd never used a mechanical successfully before that.
