I have 3 different Covert Cams, and every one of them take pink pictures. I have been told its a stuck filter. You would think they would fix this problem with everyone having this problem. I have also been told to give the cam a good smack, and it will take care of the problem. I have done everything but smash them with a hammer, and nothing seems to fix it. Anyone have any ideas? Also have one cam that takes hundreds of pics with nothing in them. What is everyone setting the sensitivity switch to?

I have yet (knocks furiously on wood) to have a pink picture on the coverts. I did have a stealthcam that had a filter that would stick halfway and block out the picture. I had to hang it upside down to get it to work.

    Have you called Covert?

I set my sensitivity to the least sensitive.

You probably already know this but avoid pointing the camera at a dense plant (juniper, pine, etc..) or dense stands of vegetation (tall grass, corn) that will move around with the wind. They will set off the cameras.

Their customer Service is great, but having to send them cams that don't work all the time gets old. I have had to send 3 cams so far. Not to mention that I have had 3 Coverts in a row now with this same problem, I really hate to send them all in, and get 3 more that have the same problem.

Why don't you ask them if you can send them in and try a different model?

1 2014 Red 40, this is my Second one. I had a 2013 Red 40 that I had to send back, don't remember what the problem was on that one. They just sent me this one as a replacement.

    1 MPE6

and the other one I think is an MP5 Black out?? I just picked it up at Christmas time at Runnings, but I think its one of the earlier models??

Well, I smacked all 3 of them around today before setting them out for the summer. I will be checking them next weekend just to make sure they are positioned right, and all working right. So I will update everyone next weekend on how they are working. I would agree that if all you are doing is looking to see what you have walking your woods that the pink pictures would bother you, but I also go after QUALITY.....

I totally agree with you on the pink picture but if what you are looking for is a quality picture...you wouldn't have telephone lines in the background :poke:
