This morning on the opening day of the MI turkey season I was able to harvest my first bird. The weather pretty nasty up until about 9am when it started to shape up. About 9:35 I looked up and this guy was strutting around my decoys, he came in dead silent and I never saw him until he was 13 yards away. After a couple minutes he finally turned around and started pecking something on the ground, and when he picked his head up it was over. I sent the bullhead his way and he face planted into the ground, flopped around for a few seconds, and expired. I had a camera up over my decoys but for whatever reason it didn't pick him up, only my reaction when I jumped out of the blind and went and got him. 8.5" beard, 3/4" spurs, 22.5 lbs.
Congrats on the bird, like the jig also ha!Ha,wish we had some up north, too cold up here though! Rocky
