Yesterday was a good day in the turkey woods. Tommy and I split up into separate blinds for the morning hunt as it was our last morning to hunt during this season. I was able to shoot my bird shortly after 6 am as he came into my decoys spitting and drumming the entire way. 10 yard shot up the corn hole as he was in full strut. He ran about 30 yards and died. After trophy photos and picking up the decoys, blind, etc we hopped into Tommy's blind on the other side of the farm and called in a pair of gobblers. 10 yard shot, 0 yard recovery. Not a bad day if I do say so myself.
Thanks to you and all the BHOD staff for taking the time to film your hunts for us to be educated by and entertained from. I look forward to your next show, good job on the turkeys
Nice work guys! I assume that is the new "no cam" Mathews you got 'em with Justin? It was great seeing Pierce and you at the WI show even if it was only briefly. Sorry I didn't hang around long, I had to get back to my buddy who was waiting for me in a seminar.
