So I got the smackdown finally, the place I got it from usually does a good job installing stuff but this time it was just trash. The whale tail launcher was like halfway up. So I went to another pro shop today and stood around for like 30 minutes waiting for someone to come into the shop that knows how to work on bows because the owners wife was the only one there. I ended up just getting allen wrenches from her and taking crack at it. I can't get the launcher to stay down for more than a couple shots. Anyone else have this problem with the smackdown pro?

Is the activation cord run to the limb or the cable?

Can you post or send a pic? Does it appear that the cord is stretching or just sliding? You could try to knot it off then tighten the screw to hold it. Its been a while since I saw one so I don't remember exactly how the cord attaches to the rest. I shot one a short period to test on out and never had any issues with slippage but it was only for a couple of months.

I've used a trophy taker for years. Never had an issue. Fantastic rest. Make sure to get all the stretch from the cord before tightening it. It may also help to draw it back a few inches to where it is slack and have someone tighten it there. Will make it very taught at rest

Thanks guys, I have been shooting it a little more and I am pretty sure the cable was just stretching because it started to move less and less and now its in for good. The rest is seriously a breeze to tune and I've heard nothing but amazing things about Dan and their CS
