Getting married in July and need to figure out what I'm doing as a gift to my groomsman. I'd like to get everyone the same thing, except maybe the best man, but here's the deal:

    some hunt
    some fish
    some drink
    some do all
    some do none

    Some of my thoughts:
    Engraved knife
    Wallet
    Flask
    Bottle opener combo
    Gift card
    Alcohol
    Mix of above

What are some groomsman gifts you guys have gotten that you have never used?
What's something you have gotten that you use all the time?

no more knives, wallets, flasks, or any of that

if they have ever been in wedding before, they already have all of that

I know gift cards are not creative, but I promise you, most guys would just prefer a decent gift card to Bass Pro or somewhere like that

that is what I did and 2 of them actually thanked me for not getting them another knife

I did a real nice poker chip set engraved with their name. Pretty much all guys use poker chips at times.

That's what I figured. We're all young enough yet that this is the first wedding for all but one of them but was still trying to come up with something other than those items.

I went the gift card route. All my groomsmen and my best man are they type of guys that I felt have or get most anything they want on their own. I didn't feel that they needed me buying them anything.
Two gift cards were from Filson and the other three were from Brooks Brothers.

I went with the engraved lighters and a pocket knife for my father. That was 13 or 14 years ago.

Challenge with going that route is the quality you get to pick from. I was not old enough to put much though or care into it. Personally, I like the Buck 525 in all silver and would do that. At the time, I just went to the mall... Should be easy for a shop to engrave the 525. On Amazon for 2x.xx bucks. Can always pair that with a gift card.

Not a fan of the alcohol for a gift however, a high end cigar might come off well...along with another take away gift.

As Hooker said, a gift card should go over well. I agree. Regardless of the gift, make it something they can use and is of good quality...not the cheese stuff!

I have each of mine a hydro flask growler engraved with their name and filled with their favorite brew. All seemed to love it and had a few people copy me since.

I have been giving this some thought, gonna be popping the question by the end of the year finally. I was thinking about doing the custom engraving on Benchmade knives.

One of my groomsmen loved golf and the others like to hunt and fish. The golf guy I got him several personalized golf items. I got all the other guys personalized turkey calls. There is an excellent call maker here and he made them all slate calls with glass tops and had their names lasered into them.

I gave my guys each a nice folding Buck knife and a nice wooden box with their initials engraved on it (basically a jewelry box for dudes). They all liked the knife because none of them had ever received one before and the boxes were a hit because up to that point they all just piled up stuff in their sock drawer.

The two best gifts I recieved are a really nice soft shell cooler with my name on it w/ a six pack inside it and a nice bag chair.

My husband went with hunting knives. They were expensive ones. His one brother doesn't hunt but he very much appreciated a sharp knife that he could use in the kitchen, too.

I did gun cases with their initials on them for my groomsmen. Not everyone hunted, but all of them owned guns so it worked out. Some guys only had a pistol so for them I got pistol cases.
