I am looking to get some lighted nocks this year for turkey and deer hunting. I shoot Easton Axis arrows. Anybody have suggestions on what are the simpliest/best ones to get?
I have been using Nockturnal Lighted Nocks (Green) with no issues at all and I have no complaints. Very easy to use, nice and bright, and various sizes for different diameter arrows. I def recommend them, give them a look!
I used to use CX lighted nocks. Switched to nockturnals couple years back, but had two of them split right down the middle. I switched back to the CX nocks and love em
Yea I saw your thread about that...sorry to hear man! Glad the bow was ok and your back shooting again! I actually have a bunch of old ones that died that I leave on my practice arrows also just so everything is the same weight. Now I am second guessing that decision. I always check them though to make sure they are not starting to crack or split.
Nocturnal!! Easy to install, bright, and a easy shut off switch. I used to shoot lumenock but didn't like how you had to turn them off. You had to wiggle the nock itself back far enough so the wires weren't touching. With the nocturnals, there is a small switch that you can slide with a pen, field point, or any other small item. They also come in a range of sizes to fit all sorts of different arrows.
Another vote here for Nocturnals. I like them because they are easy to shut off. Blessings. ..........Pastorjim
I have used Lumenoks and Nocturnals so I can only compare these two. I highly highly recommend Nocturnals. I had issues with Lumenoks and the Nocturnals blew them out of the water.
I use and really like the Nockturnals. Actually set one up turned on and it lasted for a little over 3 weeks.
Nockturnals for me. The year Clean Shot Nock Out lighted nocks came out and I was excited to try them since they were American made. First session one pulled apart. They sent me 3 new ones. First session with those one of the bushings broke and the string shoved the nock up inside the arrow ruining the arrow. They sent me 6 more to try and make up for it. I gave them all away after that, I just lost all trust in them. I hear they got better but I am still gun shy.
Luminoks. I practice with them as well and all you have to do is give them a slight pull to shut them off. Unless Nocturnals have changed their design of needing a small nail and searching for to hole to shut them off I'd never use them again. Kilboars Hunt Club
Also they will change the flight and consistency of your arrows so to practice with them. You may need to add a little more FOC to your arrows. Kilboars Hunt Club
Speaking of change in consistency, one of the biggest downfalls i saw with my lumenoks is that you have to pull/ wiggle them back and forth every time. The nocks would turn and be off on alignment on the next shot. I also watched two of them go thru deer and come out the exit side turned off. I love my nockturnals and they last forever. Their new shape cuts down on any change in flight and the new tool they developed makes turning them off super easy
