Got this guy on Saturday. We heard some gobbles in the distance and worked our way closer to a spot that we could work him. He came right in and shot him at about 22 yards. Was the third day with my new bow. Pretty exciting!

    8.5 inch beard
    3/4 inch spurs

Got him last Saturday. Grim Reaper header. Him and another Tom flew down with 2 hens. 5 minutes later he gave an opportunity and I took him at 18 yds. 22.6 lbs, 11" beard, 1" spurs.

    Hey guys,

I can't help but share last weeks adventure in South Carolina, we managed 7 birds in 3 days of hunting. Opening morning was quite special because this was the first time we had filmed our turkey hunts and we were determined to make it work. Also this was the first time after getting my new camera that we were able to get in the woods and chase Mr.Longbeard. I couldn't have asked for a more picturesque setting. The main camera is a Canon HF G30 and I was pleased to see it did fairly well in the low light condition. I will let the video do the talking and hope everyone is enjoying there turkey season thus far. Please comment, share and let me know what you think of the video. Click on the link and hope you enjoy: http://youtu.be/u1Auo1HO_w0

First morning I could get for 2nd season here in southeastern Wisconsin. Had 3 jakes and a hen came from 300 yds across a picked cornfield. I never made a call once I saw them. It looked like they were keyed in on my decoys, and I was right. 6:45am and I had my bird. I don't have much time for this 2nd season so I wasn't going to be picky. My dads got a tag yet so I'm taking him out in the morning to if I can get him a bird. image.jpg image.jpg

Shot the first bird on opening morning of the Illinois 2nd season, then took a roadtrip with a buddy from Ohio up to our friends place in New York. Shot the second bird on opening day of their season.. The only two arrows that I have fired at game from my new bow, and two birds down. If it does as good on my upcoming bear trip, I'll really be happy !!!!!!
