What do you guys think? Are single bevels really that great? I've watched some videos on them recently and was kinda impressed, NAP thunderheads are great but I'd like to try a single bevel head at some point and see the hole it makes thru a deer

Give them a try. Single bevels do a whole lot more damage than some mechanical heads.

Im using them this year switched about a month ago. Just ordered the double bevels to compare but the penetration is crazy on them and Tom and Robin over there really take care of ya. Will let you know how it works on turkeys this spring

Yes single bevels really are that great. Give them a try they look nice. I have heard some reviews on archery talk about not all the broadheads weighing the same. Could be an issue. Personally I like helix for single bevels.

I can't say either way about the single bevel, but the doubles work incredibly well. I've had no trouble at all with them. Very tough head. Fly great :)

Max most broadheads vary in weight just slightly... I know my thunderheads vary a ¾ grain or so but I can't see it affecting my shooting unless mb I would decide to go shoot at crazy long distances,

Thanks for all the replies guys! Sounds like I might like them if I decide to spend the money

Don't remember exactly as it was a while ago but it was pretty significant, greater than 5 grains.

Hmm 5 grains is quite a bit! They would have to have some pretty drastic dimensional changes to make that much difference I would think

That's why it stuck with me all these years and I didn't try them. Like I said it was years ago and believe it was when they first came out.

I finally shot my test head that came in couple of weeks ago. Broadhead flies very well. It was not orientated any particular way, almost flat more than straight up and down (bleeder was up and down). Flew like the Wac'ems I currently use. Conditions today was slightly breezy (5 to 10 mph) and shot distance was 50 yds. I also did not do any tuning at all to get the broadhead to fly well - just screwed it on and shot it.

I believe I found another broadhead to add to my list of things to use.

Actually tested mine today as well!!! Was punching center at 30 yards right off the bat so I think I'll be using these next Saturday on turkeys!

I've been looking into a few single bevel heads as well. Did any of you guys stick Turkeys with them?
