I got a WAKE coming it ships the 26th of April The wait is going to be a killer. I got to shoot one and drool over another, the bow is fast quite and holds like a target bow absulutly no vibration at the shot. Trying to figure out the goodies I want on it, sight and stab wise.

Basically it is a Chill X with 2" less of brace height, right? If the Wake shoots nice, wouldn't the Chill be much better with the longer brace? Not flaming, just curious.

Nope not even close the Wake has a very long caged riser ata is 35 inches, go to the Mathews site and look at them side by side. They are to compleatly different bows, the Wake's riser is more inline with the TRG's and the HTR.

I also own a XLR8 and a MR5 so the brace is a non-issue, I shoot them great as a matter of fact there two of the funnest bows to shoot.

From a pure numbers perspective, sure. Hold and shoot them both and you'll find out quickly they're two very different animals. The Wake's riser is much longer & stiffer than the X along with with shorter, wider and stiffer limbs. The only component that's similar or shared between them is the AVS cam system.

I've love to have a Wake I just can't justify the $$ when I would rather shoot and hunt with my HTR.

Now if I happen to win the lotto I'll be chasing whitetails on my new farm with a Wake for sure. :)

So hate to sound like the wife, but how much money do you have tied up in bows? The list on your signature looks longer then the current inventory at my local pro-shop! LOL

My wife has a gun addiction, I have a bow addiction, so it works out. I used to have very bad addictions so she's very happy with My archery addiction. I also worked very hard shoveling and pumping other peoples **** to be able to afford My addictions!

So obviously I have not shot either, but I am curious what about the Wake do you like so much more? It is faster, but is it quieter, more dead in the hand, more forgiving?

looks nasty! Too short of a brace height for me though.. all of my imperfections are magnified with these types of bows.. nasty bow though... regardless..

I haven't seen this bow in person, but it looks pretty sweet. A 5" BH is pretty short but the one thing I think that's brutal is the weight of the bow.. Almost 5 and a half pounds with accessories and all that thing will weigh a ton.

The weight is no concern, heck I got 18oz on My backbar and 4oz on My front stab on My HTR. It just means I won't have to add as much weight to get it the way I want it.

I went with a whole new setup with this bow than I had on my helim. I bought the HHA ultra lite single pin aight with the dial and the QAD HDX arrow rest. I am going to go with the maxima reds for a little heavier arrow and will be shooting the NAP Killzones which I love!

This bow is truly amazing. It pretty much shoots itself. I haven't felt a bow this smooth, fast, quiet, and forgiving ever. Even with people worrying about the brace height I think they would even be impressed
