I just ordered a pack of the NAP Quick fletch sleeves, Ive never used them before what do you guys think of them, how do they compare to traditional fletches ?
They work really well and hold up nicely. The quick fletches are definitely quicker and easier than trying to glue fetching on yourself. You can do a dozen of arrows in less than 15 minutes if you have the water hot. Post pics once you are done if you can.
I will put the pictures on when i get them done, its going to be a little while though, Im in college and my arrows are still at home so ill send you a pm of them when i go home for easter. They are the bone collector edition ones and they look really sharp can't wait to see them on my arrows.
I just bough some quick fletch and can't wait try them out I have blazer vanes on my arrows, so I figure I would give these a shot and see the difference.
used the quickfletch quickspin they were easy to put on. I got better groups with blazers with 3 degree helical than the the quickspins. Just my opinion though
Agreed. They aren't as durable as just normal fletches on a bare shaft in my opinion. I like to have a couple spare quickfletches around that I can put on practise arrows if I have to.
I have used them and I like them. Easy to put on and much less hassle than glue on. The only drawback that I have with them is durability. Targets where the arrow shaft goes to the fletches almost 100% of the time tears them whereas my glue on fletches only 20% of the time will tear or damage. The good thing is you can strip and replace easily and quickly. I will continue to use especially during practice sessions. For my hunting arrows I typically like 4 fletches and these obviously don't come with that option.
I will never use them on my primary hunting arrows. They just don't hold up well enough. As Sota stated, I would use them in an emergency situation. SCFox
I have tried 3 of them before. More than likely it was my error. I had 2 of them in my quiver for hunting and when it got well below freezing they started cracking and coming off. I'm guessing this is because there was some water inside that froze. If I tried t hem again I guess i'd have to learn the best way to put them on. More than likely i'm just going to stick with blazers cuz they work fine but I have always though the wraps looked cool. lol Not that cool things kill deer any better.
I used them for one season,2011.They held up ok for a few months but after it got cold they simply did not. They make for a great emergency fletch on a hunting trip though.
I used to use quick fletch and they were awesome, but unless they come out with a four fletch option I probably won't be buying because I only use four fetching now.
I have been using them since they came out and love them. With the exception of the gluing issues a few years back they have all worked great!
I love em and have shot them for several years (killed my first deer with em on) but it was costing me too much money long term so I bought a cheap Arizona fletching jig and do mine the old way
