I was just curious what kind of choke tube everybody uses and what kind of ammo have you found shoots best out of it?

Depends, I have two Winchester 1300's. one is set up with an Indian creek and shoots hevi shot the other one has a comp n choke that shoots winchester long beards. All are 3" shells and #6 shot

H.S Undertaker out of a 870. Switching to the Longbeard XR's (probably #5's)

I just bought an Indian Creek Black Diamond Strike for my son's gun and I'll be picking up a box of Hevi #6s (they recommend #7s but I can't find them) and a box of Magnum Blends to see which one patterns the best out of it.

Before that, he just shot the factory full choke and Winchester XX's and killed a bird at 51 and his little brother shot one last year at 47, folding them both.

My gun patterns really well with the factory full choke. I shoot Winchester supreme #5s. I've killed 2 birds over 50yds with it and 2 more between 35-50, all 4 were stoned instantly.

I have a Benelli Super Black Eagle II and haven't ever used anything besides the Crio chokes that came with the gun. They hold a great pattern, with Remington especially. I've heard and read good things about Carlson's though

I use a kicks high flyer full to put a hurt on some ducks. Ammo typically varies but I bought a bunch of 3.0" fionchi at the end of the season on clearance. Enough I may be good for next season. I used some at the end of the season last year and it shot just as well as the higher priced stuff.

For turkey I use the choke that came with the rifle and remmington 3.5" ammo.

Funny this got moved from turkey hunting just cause its about gun hunting. oh well.

    I decided to go with Winchester XR longbeard 3 1/2 # 5's with a Comp-N-Choke.

Remington super full in .665 and hevi #6 do well in my 870. I've also had my forcing cone lengthened, bore polished and run a 28 in barrel. Some folks say they won't shoot a bird past 40 and that's fine, but I've patterned my gun at 50 and wouldn't hesitate one minute to take that shot.

Mossberg 930 with the 28" waterfowl barrel, Xx-Full Mossberg turkey choke shooting number 3 or 4 shot usually... I'll take em out to 60 yards, I've been using Federal Blackcloud waterfowl load some the past yr or so and have been happy with it
