I'm looking at getting the lone wolf assault this year as I already have 3 of the longer lone wolf sticks. To me it almost looks like you have to remove the stick quiver once your at the tree. Meaning it doesnt look like its a permanent attachment. I've periodically been checking youtube for some guy to post a good review video on how it all works/attaches.
Yeah, but the longest part of packing in and out for me is lashing the sticks to the stand. This looks like it will make that a quick and easy process Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk
I agree. I can get the stand and sticks removed from the tree pretty quick but I always found myself dinking around at the base of the tree trying to get the sticks together for carrying. Alot of the time it was a pain in the ***. I hate the dark so I'm the guy that wants to get out as fast as possible LOL
I have one of these. I played with it yesterday. My first impressions is although it is great it could be refined a little. I wish they would have spaced them out a bit more. That and would have preferred a "bright orange quiver over the black being you are going to be taking it off and putting it on prior to or after daylight hours. It may be more convenient and quicker but I am not sure its any quieter. I have some other thoughts but I will refrain until I play with it more. Overall I think it is a win but won't really know until I get some use on it.
Just to make sure I understand correctly. The quiver does not stay on the stand as the stand is attached to the tree or is just another thing that you put on to hold the sticks and then the quiver comes off the stand if you want to put the stand on the tree.
Correct, the quiver pieces snap on the back of the seat post. To mount the stand to the tree they must be removed. Mounting it and removing it is easy. You will get a pretty significant "snap" sound when you mount it. Removing it is quieter.
It's funny you typed that because in early pics these were bright yellow and everybody threw a fit about the color LOL.
Everyone but me. I hate fumbling around for crap in the dark. That and I don't know why it would matter anyway? It's on your backside and you have to put it away before you can mount the stand on the tree. Should have been bright hunter orange, IMO. In case anyone is wondering it will work with the hunt comfort seat as well. In fact, I think it is better. Sticks fit snug against the seat stopping them from wiggling....
Good reviews guys! Has anyone recently ordered the hunt comfort seat? My buddy bought a pair of them and he received them last week, he promptly sent that back . They are no longer the same material as the original. He said they were noisy and uncomfortable. I was surprised to hear this coming from him as he always been a fan of all things lone Wolf
The one in the picture I posted is the new seat. The material is different for sure. It has a sheen to it and it does seem loud. Seems to also be lighter. I can't say anything about its comfort compared to the old one as I haven't used it. Now that you say that I may have to investigate a bit more.
The old ones unless my recollection is off were like a closed/ memory foam ...heavy, expensive, but comfortable and quite.
Correct! When I ordered my last one they told me that they were no longer going to carry them. I believe he said it was a supply issue. But now that I think about it I think there may be something more to it... Maybe a supply and quality issue. The alpha tech seat is suppose to be the replacement..........
If the alpha tec seat is like the muddy seats and they are calling it the same and charging the same as the ordinal hunt comfort then ...the price is way off base. They aren't worth it. My buddy bought some after market seat and he gave it good reviews and if I am not mistaken the price was reasonable. I will text him now and get the name of them
That would be great. If the alpha is anything like the muddy then it will be crap after the first year....
