I had quite a nice little building project going on this summer and I ran the supplies through one of my credit cards that pays back with a rewards program... I need to pick up a video camera to try to capture my boys turkey hunting this season. There's two choices which look like the best bang-for-my-buck... I don't really know much about video cameras at all. Could you take a look at the specs and offer your input as to which is the best and why? Sony HDRPJ340 16GB HD Flash Memory Camcorder Blue HDRPJ340LI - Best Buy or... Canon VIXIA HF R52 32GB HD Flash Memory Camcorder Black 9173B004 - Best Buy Thanks for your help!
I'd get the Canon Greg, I really liked my r400 and have the bigger G20 now. That lil cam will shoot some pretty nice video.
TJ, your Canon does connect up with a regular Windows-based PC, correct? I had another guy tell me it would only work with Apple computers, which I don't see in the specs...
All of the video cameras work with both PC's and Apple products. In general you are going to pull the SD card, put it in a card reader, transfer the video files to your machine, and then drop the files into an editor. At that point it is a Chevy/Ford thing. Pick the machine and editor that you like and run with it.
