Why do people advertise products on their vehicles?

Help me understand why people put a QAD sticker, Lone Wolf sticker, Summit tree stand sticker, etc. etc . etc. on their vehicles. What does a person get out of it? Why do they feel the need to tell the world what rest you have on your bow or what treestand you are using?

OK, so you believe in a product. So what? Use it, enjoy it and shut up. Nobody cares.

    I'm done. Thank you.

I wouldn't say I advertise just represent the quality products I enjoy, I also don't wear plain white tshirts.

I guess for the same reason people put sports team crap all over their vehicle. They just want to.

I have a YETI sticker on my truck just so everyone knows I'm not poor and can afford $500 ice chests.

I just don't see it being the same. Cheering for a team, advertising your college, making a political statement, a joke, an American flag, running a marathon, etc. I can understand why a person would put a sticker on their car. Putting a QAD sticker on is the same as putting a Folgers Coffee sticker on or an I-phone 5s sticker or Head and shoulders Shampoo.

If you look that far into it I can see your point. However what I was getting at was my last sentence. They just want to. I personally think its ridicules when people around here have Ravens/Orioles crap all over a brand new vehicle or decals completely covering the rear windshield of a brand new pick up. But I didn't pay for it and I'm not driving it.

You are starting to get it, I think it's dumb too. That being said bumper stickers in general seems like the more you have the dumber you are.

    I think its moronic.

Now someone will come on here and say. Well dont jackets/cars/ trucks ect ect have logos and brand name on them?. what's the difference?
The difference is if I buy a Patagonia jacket for example, I am paying to own and get use of the product. I get the benefits of what the product offers. If pay for a Patagonia sticker to put on my truck, well then I am just a moron.

Hooker makes a great point, and I agree that we disregard everything I said above except for Yeti Stickers for a couple reasons. First they come with coolers for free and second they they being used as unhanded status symbol that Coleman cooler guys are too dim witted to get anyway.

What if you put a Yeti cooler sticker on a 2004 Honda Accord?

The question should be, where is the best place to put a free sticker from a product you purchased? Some say the trash, I say my truck and hard cases for my bow and guns.

Buying a sticker for the truck is a different story.

I give mine to my kids and it keeps them busy for about 2 minutes.

I could see putting them up on your work bench or man cave or even your garage if you are really proud of your QAD rest.

Can I just buy the sticker on-line and not buy the cooler? Sounds like a good update of status for not a lot of money.
