Howdy all. My interest in archery is back after an eighteen year hiatus. In my teens and twenties I was big into bowhunting and archery. I sold my last bow, Pearson Spoiler, with the intention of purchasing a new one but never did. After filling all three of my rifle tags last season I had to purchase a new bow to continue hunting. No luck filling the bow tag and worse luck with my shoulder. Even though the new bow is only 60#, (I use to shoot 75#) my shoulder couldn't take it. I haven't been able to shoot the new bow since Christmas and now I'm seeing a physical therapist. While waiting for the shoulder to heal I ran across Bowhunt or Die and watched all the episodes. I can't wait for next season. Dan
Hi Dan I use to live in NH (but never hunted there). Best of luck to you - hope your shoulder improves.
Thanks fellas. I'm thinking of bailing out after yesterday's 32" of snow. Has to be rough on the deer herd. Dan
I'm in Hudson. I do most of my hunting within 3 miles of my home. Last season was my most enjoyable and successful in 31 years, my enthusiasm is renewed. I'm thinking of going on a trip this year out west, probably with an outfitter, for a better chance at a trophy whitetail. Dan
HOWDEY.... How is the deer hunting up that way , my wife could get a job in NH tomorrow if she wanted too, her companies corporate offices are up there..
Last year in my area, unit M, was the best I've seen. Unit M and L are your best bets for highest deer numbers. You have the potential to get up to five deer in unit M, two buck maximum. The bow season is long too, three months. There are trophy class bucks but not many. DAn
