Well the little heathen never ceases to amaze me. She caught her first pheasant last weekend. A cockbird no less. She had ahold of a hen bird too but couldn't seal the deal. Pulled a bunch of feathers in midflight but couldn't hang on. The cockbird she piledrove right in the middle of a multi floral rose bush. Took me 10 minutes to get back in there and get her and the bird out of it. And of course she is still hell on the bunnies. And this is what I do with all the rabbits.. rabbit stew! I had a professional videographer go out with us and got some great footage, just waiting him to finish editing and I'll post a clip to the Vimeo HD link.
You wouldn't think you can see emotion with a bird, but you can see In every pic how proud that birds is of his kills! Congrats! that looks like a great time!
My best friend back home in Kentucky got into Falconry last year... Got a female red tail named Harley... cause she harley ever misses. lol Beautiful bird!
Awesome! My uncle hawk hunts. He currently has one that he got from Arizonia. Though, they only do rabbits. I'll have to find a picture! Do you get a new one often? He used to release them yearly, but the current one is a keeper. He is going to be training an owl next!
Now that's AWESOME! Always been curious to how it all works. How do you train a bird to come back and such? Very neat!
