Grind addings

    Hey guys I will be butchering my deer once again on Monday . I am actually going to do my own ground meat. What do you guys add. Pork shoulder? and do you grind togeather. and them mix it?

    Yea i normally do either pork shoulder or butt roast. I season it, add onions, bell peppers, celery, garlic powder, and any other type of veggie you want to try. You can also add bacon to it and gives it a good smoke favor. Some people cut cubes of cheese and grind it in with it also. I've try it all and loved it all lol have fun!!

    I use pork butt 50/50 or 60 deer 40 pork for breakfast sausage grind it together mix in your seasonings run it thru a second time into caseings or leave bulk

    I have added goat meat in the past pretty good.

    Need more info. What are you making? "ground meat" could be any number of things from hamburger to pepperoni sausage.

    If I am just grinding it (for use in chili, etc.) I don't add anything. If I am making sausage (breakfast or Italian) I add pork shoulder. If making summer sausage or sticks, I use beef.

    Alot of my customer use our additive. We recommend using 10lb Bacon Ends and Pieces to 15lb of venison. We suggest to our customers to grind them together and package for the freezer. Makes great tasting burger.
