I shoot 70 lb draw and 29" dl on a bear encounter with 350 grain carbon express pile drivers at whatever length they come in the box. I was wondering how advantageous it would be to have the arrows cut down a few inched. I know it would knock the weight down a little bit but now too much. My buddy gets all his arrows cut done to fit his bow. What's the purpose of this? Thanks for your input
That's not 350 grain. 350 on those refers to the spine not the weight. Do yourself a favor and go to www.huntersfriend.com and look for their carbon arrow university page. It's a long read but when you have read it you will understand ALOT more about your arrows and how they need to be selected.
