Very few this year. I usually only sit all day during the rut and this year I got my buck on the fourth day of my vacation.
I hunt dark to dark from November 1-12 every year. I shot my buck on the 5th of Nov. this year so I had 4 dark to darks in and was working on a 5th until I shot. I have around 28 years of hunting experience and have come to narrow the window that I hunt dark to dark to those first 12 days of November. This keeps me from getting burned out early on in the season. I usually hunt 1 or 2 evenings for about 3 hours per week all thru October, but in my area, the best days to be in stand from dark to dark are Nov. 1-12. You just never know what your going to see, it's an exciting time to be a bowhunter during those days!
Technically none, as I came out to warm up at lunch time. The older I get the less an all day sit appeals to me
4. Shot my buck on the 4th-but all during gun season. My bow hunts are with a host and he doesn't sit all day.
Like some others, none. Usually have some evening hunts during October and then hunt pretty hard during the rut normally the 1st 2 weeks of November but usually do not sit all day. Come out of the stand around lunch and may even change stands for the afternoon.
Zero. I had planned to do it during my vacation from Nov. 1st through the 16th but I killed my buck on Oct 30th and since we are only allowed one buck in Indiana, it wasn't necessary. Blessings........Pastorjim
I sat dark to dark twice when I was hunting and shot my buck on the planned third sit. I have also sat dark to dark 4 times with my son. All of my sits were in November.
No dark to dark sits but I carry my bow in the pickup while working and am constantly watching the tree line for deer or looking for sign while I go about the business of checking fences and cattle. I may not be sitting but I'm hunting all day every day. Kinda. Sent from my Z10 using Tapatalk
